Shocking and incredibly sad news from the Riverside camp as they announce that guitarist Piotr Grudziński passed away this morning. The cause of death is currently unknown. He was just 40 years old. Piotr attended a show last evening in Poland by The Winery Dogs and was by all accounts fine.
I’ll be playing 2 hours of Riverside’s music this week on my radio show as a tribute. For details, please check out the event on Facebook. This is a horrible loss to his friends and family. My sincere condolences.

I’m so stunned by all… I guess we’re all getting a bit older and our favorite musicians were mostly older than we are !!! That’s all I can figure out.. God Bless them all! RIP !! The Baroness

Let’s not jump to conclusions. It could be a few things. Drugs and alcohol are always a possible issue but an unknown heart condition is also very much a possibility. Brain aneurysms are also deadly. When I find out, I will pass it along.
