That’s the nearest comparison I can make for the band Space Mirrors. Their new album “Stella Polaris” is listed as Dark Progressive Metal but I cannot hear anything remotely progressive about it. The songs are all about the same pace. The production is thin. The songs are boring. The lead vocals are pretty much monotone. Bad gothic vocals over a space rock bar band.

I really could not wait until “Stella Polaris” was done. But at 71 minutes, it seems like the album would not end. Some of the riffs aren’t bad, but really they are average since the band really doesn’t sound all that tight. The vocals kill any listenable musical moments on “Stella Polaris.”
